How many out there use dvds or vhs with their babies? I must admit that we have used the Baby Einstein VHS tapes and then DVDs alot with our first child.

He really did like - well maybe just the music. We haven't use them so much with our second or third.

I haven't used any of these items either.

My son hated all music and cartoons, apart from storymakers and the song do you love me from dirty dancing. He was never a baby, an old man in a babys body.

My daughter now loved all nursery rhymes, cartoons and dancing.

I have read that classical music makes children brainy so I might try it on Rio :D

All our kids liked the Baby Bach video, they did not like the languages Baby E video at all. My four and three year old will still ask to watch the Baby Bach!

I know that my oldest niece enjoyed Baby Einstein when she was a bit younger, but my youngest niece has never seemed to give them much notice. I've never tried the Baby Beethoven or Mozart DVDs, though, and I'm interested. In anyone has any more thoughts about those discs, I'd love to hear them!

A little off-topic but I've heard that if you play classical music gently with headphones before the baby is born then this is to do good for brain development. I believe it's called the 'mozart affect'

My daughter used to watch and listen to Baby Einstein videos when she was much younger. But now, she enjoys cartoon and music channels. :)

Baby Einstein is a great tool to add to the mix of learning for a child. We try not to keep her in front of the TV too much though.

Hello. I learned in my psychology class that children who watch shows like the Teletubbies don't learn anything educational. Television shows like Blues Clues, Dora the Explorer, and Sesame Street are good at educating youngsters. However, there is no substitution for interactions with your child.

Hey there!

We don't have any children of our own but plan on it soon,

We do watch after our 2 nieces frequently, and they seem to love these DVD's,

The music ones get them dancing and tapping on everything (which excites me as a musician)

Me and my husband run a home business on the side, and one of the products we started selling after seeing our nieces was baby Einstein.

I'm not sure how much they cost in the store, I believe over $5 per dvd, but we sell the entire 26 DVD collection on ebay for $39, with free shipping.

(don't know if you've ever purchased something on ebay, but it's pretty easy to pay through paypal with any major credit card or bank account)

If your interested you should check out my ebay store, I think these DVD's are helpful.

I'm really thinking about getting this for my cousin who just had a baby. Has it gotten good reviews?

My nephews have DVDs of Baby Einstein. They weren't really able to listen to it though because one preferred Mickey Mouse while the other loves The Backyardigans.
